Decoration Guide
Getting the Best Results on Wholesale Blank Hoodies
Not all blanks decorate the same. This guide covers the most common decoration methods —
screen printing, DTG, embroidery, and heat transfer — and how to choose the right blank for
each.
01
Screen Printing
02
DTG (Direct to Garment)
03
Embroidery
04
Heat Transfer / Vinyl
01
Screen Printing
Works best on ring-spun cotton with a tight weave and flat chest area. Avoid fleece-heavy or
brushed interiors that can push ink unevenly
02
DTG (Direct to Garment)
Requires high cotton content (80%+) for best ink adhesion. Pre-treat is essential. GSM affects
bleed-through risk
03
Embroidery
Heavier blanks (300 GSM+) hold embroidery better with less puckering. Ensure the hoodie
material is stable enough for hoop tension.
04
Heat Transfer / Vinyl
Compatible with most blends. Poly content improves transfer adhesion on some materials. Test
wash performance before bulk runs
